The mission of the Coalition is to empower Bamberg County residents to improve their health and achieve economic stability by connecting them to education and resources that create a better quality of life.

The vision of the Coalition is the creation of an inter-organizational collaboration which supports the health of all community residents.

Bamberg County HEALing Partners Priorities:

  • Healthy Eating & Active Living
    • Focus: Expanding access to nutritious foods, strengthening food systems, enhancing physical activity opportunities, supporting walkability and trail initiatives, and promoting environments that make healthy choices easier.
  • Access to Quality Health Care
    • Focus: Improving access to preventive and primary care services, strengthening health education and outreach efforts, reducing barriers to care, and supporting coordinated community health initiatives
  • Education
    • Focus: Strengthening prevention and education efforts, supporting outreach initiatives, and coordinating coalition communications and marketing.

State Priorities:

  • Improve outdoor environments in early care and education
  • Prioritize physical activity in schools
  • Promote trail connectivity
  • Expand awareness of WIC
  • Increase senior enrollment in SNAP
  • Increase access to healthy food
